SCA040 – In Caramanico Terme, in the wonderful village of Decontra, at 860 m above sea level and in the heart of the Parco Nazionale della Majella, mountain rich in wolves, deer, roes, as well as 65% of the flora of Abruzzo, we have a beautiful portion of hamlet in stone of Majella to renovate, with amazing view over the Orfento Valley.

Decontra is a small, unpolluted village inside the Majella National Park, still inhabited by farmers and shepherds that dedicate their life to pastoralism and cutivation of old grains. A starting point of numerous paths that allow excursions and walks with snowshoes on the Majella Mountains, on the Valleys of rivers Orta and Orfento and on the Celestinian hermitages.

At a few km there is the thermal centre famous for its sulfuric waters and site of the Museo Naturalistico Archeologico. On the territory there are several restaurants, shops and all the necessary services. Numerous folkloric, cultural and gastronomic representations.

The village is well connected with the city of Pescara and in about 20 minutes you can reach the highway A25, exit Scafa-Alanno, the train station of Scafa and ski centers of Passo Lanciano, Majelletta and Passo San Leonardo. In about 2 hours you can reach Rome’s ring road.
